Shiraz Bashir

Shiraz has 13+ years of experience in Program Management for New Products, primarily in a Medical Devices. Currently Shiraz works as a Program Manager in Global Services Technology in GE Healthcare. Since 2001, Shiraz has led global teams in 6 countries to develop diverse New Products such as DASH & Evolution Series Locomotive, CARESCAPE Patient Monitor B850 and Advantage Workstation Server & its integration with PACS.
Shiraz has volunteered extensively for GE Healthcare Asian Pacific American Forum as co-chair and has led number of cultural and business events. Shiraz is a co-founder and advisor to the Alumni of College of Telecom, NUST (Pakistan). Since 2002, Shiraz and his team grew Alumniâ™s membership to ~800, raised ~$6,000 for scholarship for 16 students. In 2009, Shiraz and his team raised $50,000 + in ten days, for a liver transplant operation of a 5-month-old daughter of a fellow alumn. In 2010, addressing the critical shortage of ventilators at the Allied Hospital of Punjab Medical College- Pakistan, Shiraz worked with GE Healthcare and APPNA (Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America) to donate four ventilators.
Shiraz holds BE (Electrical/ Telecom) and MS Embedded Software Engineering from NUST (Pakistan) and Gannon (USA) respectively. Shiraz is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and Project Management Professional (PMP).  Shiraz can be reached at sbashir@amhp.us.
