Affnan Zubi, MBA

Affnan Zubi is the Project Manager of the American Muslim Professionals’ Task Force on Free Clinics. Affnan earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA in Psychobiology. During that time she was a student volunteer at the UMMA Community Clinic in Los Angeles. From 2000-2002 she served as one of the Volunteer Project Directors at UMMA. She then pursued a second bachelor’s degree in Nursing at Loyola University in Chicago. After working for two years as a pediatric nurse at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago she went back to Loyola to obtain an MBA in Healthcare Management. During this time she volunteered as a nurse at the IMAN Health Clinic, a Muslim Community-based Clinic serving a diverse uninsured and underinsured patient population on Chicago's South Side. In addition to supporting the development of networks and resources for Muslim Free Clinics, she is also interested in improving patient safety and the quality of care provided to patients.
